2. Watching "The Persuaders" had made me acknowledge all the advertisements, billboards, and promotions everywhere you go. No matter if it is at your school, in the city or walking to a bar, advertisement is everywhere in our lives. In fact, it has increased so dramatically that all the products we use now are by the products shown on the posters. Whenever I go online, there are pop-ups and ads all over the computer, and emails that I get are random advertisements of books, clothing items and deals. Basically, every step you take there is advertisement. Without it, businesses and companies would not be doing as well as they are doing now.
I think that the amount of advertisement in our world today is just right. I mean, if you ever went into the city and did not see the billboards and lights, Broadway play posters, and sports teams, it just would not be the same New York City. New York City would be just plain buildings and it would not be meaningful. Companies needs advertisement so they are known, otherwise they would not make any business or money. The advertisement that was 30 years ago was a lot less flashy. It was nothing like it is today especially since technology has advanced; you never would see actual cars on the side of buildings. It would just be on television or a couple signs.

1. When I first watched the videos, in a matter of minutes I was so shocked of all the advertisement and technology that goes on. It’s amazing how these companies make ads to lure customers into buying their products. Just by putting one of their products on a television show or movie will make their rate increase significantly. One of the clips that really caught my attention is when my favorite show, Sex in the City, came on and one of the characters had a poster with an Absolute bottle of vodka was on the poster with him and added ‘Hunk’ to it. And in matter of a day, they advertised a new drink and their rates skyrocketed. When I turned on the TV today, I couldn’t believe everything that was advertised in matter of just 60 seconds! In the movie, a man said that if he re-created the tv show F.r.i.e.n.d.s, he would make their coffee shop based around Starbucks instead of a made up coffee shop. Their advertisement would make millions because of the amount of viewers.
