Midterm part 1

Imagine being able to have a device that is as big as a spec to investigate, search and get to places where humans cannot even get to. After watching the numerous invention clips, the invention that had caught my eye and that I believe that will definitely be used in the future, was the micro robotic fly. It is going to be the new best technology around. It can be used for every situation whether to spy in bad neighborhoods and crime scenes, going through rubble and fire, in case a terrorist attack occurs, a body guard in case you want someone watching you and then will seek for help. Having a little micro fly do that for you will make society so much safer, cautious and protect many people’s lives. Weighing almost 16 milligrams, this robotic fly is smaller than the size of a penny and will go to any place a human would not want to and cover every mission that it has to accomplish. In order to make this product appealing, companies need to have certain advertising techniques to promote them and market them to the most sufficient way as possible.
One of the most effective ways to advertise the product would be to use the emotional branding. This way would be incredibly successful. The reason being is that the government, FBI, fire fighters and more can use this fly in order to seek crime and to help others. This way will help people significantly due to their past of maybe getting something stolen or beaten up and having no one there to help or identify who it is. The government would definitely use this tactic and would promote it around the world so everything that is in danger will be already be taken care of or watched. All people care about is their safety and the safety of their loved ones, and with this product and advertisement many will feel comforted and protected.
The next advertisement strategy that would be most influential was across media marketing. Of course, this method is used all over for products to gain attention. Everywhere you go you will see companies promote their products whether it is at the train station, on the streets, in the bathroom stalls, all over the school or on the build boards in NYC. The most effective way would be to promote this product to the media, such as television, commercials or the daily news. If people actually saw the robotic bug in action helping people save lives and go through rubble, people would react greatly and instantly make the invention the best thing since slice bread.
Another method that could boost up the rates of marketing this product would be the rhetorical marketing. If the inventors came up with a more appealing name, consumers would go crazy and buy them off the shelves. Although it would mostly be used for safety hazards and precautions, it would be greatly used by little kids playing around with the product like a toy. And if you just put robotic fly, it would not at all catch any of the audience’s attention, in fact people would just look over it. If you had a catchy phrase or name like the Super-fly, that could be a better way to promote it because it has a nice ring to it.
Who would have thought that the world’s most annoying bug could potentially save our lives in the future? Not only does it affect our nation’s heroes (fire fighters, police force, government, and the FBI,) but it will soon overcome the rest of society and drastically make things easy for search warrants, robberies, ect. Mothers can have the tiny bug in order to keep their little ones on track and not have them get kid knapped or run away. It is safety with ease and only the size and weight of a fly!
